The KA-BAR Folding Hunter is designed with a nod to nostalgia as it rekindles the features of the old KA-BAR model 1189, a design popular for years because of its straight forward lock and traditional clip point folding blade. The 1189 model featured wood handles and was carried in a pouch or pocket, whereas the 3189 model has been updated with more modern G10 handle scales and a pocket clip for more convenient carry.
